Description

The SIP 14″ x 43″ Swivel Head Wood Lathe is an ideal solution for those seeking a robust and adaptable lathe for woodturning. Crucial to a functioning workshop, this machine tool allows a woodturner to accurately shape, turn, drill and sand workpieces to the desired specification.

For added functionality, a 360° swivel headstock with four locking positions is fitted to allow outboard turning of larger wood materials. Heavy-duty cast iron legs are fitted to the lathe to maximise stability during this process. The lathe bed, headstock and tailstock are also manufactured to a professional finish from heavy-duty cast iron.

The headstock has an MT1 taper and tailstock an MT2 taper alongside a variable speed motor which runs between 500rpm and 2000rpm. The easy-change speed handle has 10 settings and a digital readout speed display for greater turning control.

Supplied with tool rest, 6″ faceplate, drive and tailstock centres.

Applications & uses: Perfect for turning furniture legs, staircase spindles and bespoke woodwork items. Accurately turns, shapes, drills and sands workpieces to the desired specification. Suitable for soft and hard woods.
